Job summary

Baptist Health in St. Augustine is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department on a full-time day shift. This role leads frontline staff, ensures patient-centered care, and partners with clinical teams to optimize throughput and patient safety.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of nursing leadership, Florida RN license, ADN required with BSN preferred, and experience in medical-surgical and telemetry care. Leadership and staff development are essential components of the role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years nursing experience required.
• Medical Surgical and Telemetry experience required.
• Leadership experience required.
• RN license in Florida (state boards) required.
• ACLS/BLS/ TNCC/ PALS certifications preferred or required per unit standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in collaboration with direct care staff.
• Serve as expert clinical resource and lead shift in ED.
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge flows.
• Lead change initiatives and staff development.
• Assign and monitor patient care across shifts.
• Provide direct patient care when needed.
