Job summary

UF Health seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to support daily nursing operations, supervise staff, and partner with the Nurse Manager on hiring, evaluation, and performance improvement initiatives.

You will help develop department budgets, ensure patient-centered care, and uphold Joint Commission standards while promoting excellent customer service on the unit. Strong clinical skills and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• New hires must have BSN within three years of hire/transfer.
• Current employees hired before Aug 1, 2013 grandfathered.
• Required to have AWHONN, ACLS, PALS, and STABLE certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and clinical expertise to staff on assigned area.
• Assist Nurse Manager with hiring/firing, evaluations, orientation and PI activities.
• Assist in budgeting and managing department budgets.
• Promote positive customer service and patient-centered care on the unit.
