Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager with supervision and clinical expertise on the unit. The role involves hiring/firing, staff evaluations, orientation, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.

You will assist in budgeting and maintain focus on patient-centered care and top-notch service. Ideal candidates have RN licensure in Florida, 3–5 years of acute care experience, and BSN within three years of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• New hires effective June 14, 2017 must have a BSN within three years of hire/transfer.
• Current employees hired before Aug 1, 2013 will be grandfathered.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP/STABLE certifications may be required for specific units.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and clinical expertise to staff in assigned area.
• Assist Nurse Manager with hiring, firing, and evaluations.
• Support orientation of new employees and performance improvement activities.
• Assist in developing and managing departmental budgets.
• Promote patient-centered care and excellent customer service.
