Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily center operations in the GM’s absence. You will guide a team to deliver top-tier service and manage time and resources effectively.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, customer focus, and ongoing training through U-Haul University. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with readiness for varied shifts in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Leadership experience in any form.
• Customer service experience required.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in the General Manager’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive excellent first impressions and high-quality care.
• Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
