Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager to take on day-to-day operations, working with a strong team to deliver excellent customer service. You will help manage the center in the GM’s absence and drive efficient, safe operations with hands-on responsibilities, including equipment installation tasks.

The role offers opportunities to learn through U-Haul University and grow within a nationally recognized company known for its “Hire Fast, Pay Fast” culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record are required.
• Leadership experience in any form is required.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts is required.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
