Job summary

GPM Investments, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager for our high-energy convenience store in Traverse City, MI. You will support the Store Manager, run the register, coach a team, and ensure excellent customer service across shifts.

This role requires open availability for weekends and holidays, plus willingness to work second or third shifts. You will manage deposits, inventory, merchandising, and daily operations while keeping a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Open Availability: weekends and holidays, and second or third shifts.
• Valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance.
• Physical readiness for cleaning, stocking, and facility upkeep.
• Minimum age 18+; fluent English with basic math skills.
• Willing to learn and grow into leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store including restrooms and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling and oversee store financials.
