Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Shiprock, NM is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run the drive-in operations and lead a team of Crew Members, Carhops and shift staff.

You will work closely with the General Manager, train employees, monitor food quality and safety, and ensure guest satisfaction with friendly, efficient service.

Experience in restaurant or retail management is valued; willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task and solve problems independently.
• Follow directions and maintain SONIC appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
• Train and support employees to ensure quality food in a clean, safe and efficient manner.
• Open and/or close the restaurant; monitor staffing and inventory levels.
• Complete weekly inventory and administrative duties.
• Provide excellent guest service and respond promptly to guest requests.
• Reinforce a customer service mentality to ensure guests have a great experience.
