Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in the United States is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running a fast-paced drive-in operation. You’ll train staff, supervise crews, and ensure quality food service in a clean and safe environment.

The role requires managing shifts, coordinating scheduling, and upholding Sonic standards with a focus on guest satisfaction. Flexible hours and a team-oriented environment are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or equivalent.
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Willingness to abide by appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet standards.
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control.
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures guests are served promptly.
