Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Independence, MO is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager and oversee drive-in operations, training staff, and ensuring quality food served in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.

You will lead Team Members, direct shifts, monitor inventory and costs, perform opening/closing duties, and strive to deliver a memorable guest experience with friendly service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy; multi-task.
• Willingness to abide by appearance and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, monitor and coach Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign staff to meet drive-in standards for food service.
• Adhere to and monitor employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing, inventory and food cost control.
• Complete weekly inventory as needed.
• Assist in administrative duties including records and documentation.
• Reinforce a customer service mentality and ensure guests are served promptly.
• Respond to guest requests and help resolve complaints.
