Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to work under the General Manager to oversee drive-in operations, training and supporting team members, ensuring quality food, a clean, safe and efficient service, and delivering an enjoyable guest experience.

You will guide opening/closing duties, manage staffing and inventory, conduct weekly counts, handle records, and reinforce a customer-first mindset while resolving guest concerns with courtesy.

Qualifications

• Minimum restaurant management experience (QSR) or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and math skills; capable of multitasking.
• Willingness to maintain Sonic appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drive-in operations under the General Manager.
• Train and coach Team Members, Carhops, and the skating crew.
• Ensure food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
• Direct staffing and inventory adjustments to meet costs and service goals.
• Open and/or close the restaurant as required and document records.
