World Market is seeking an Assistant Manager in a fast-paced retail environment to lead a high-performing team and drive sales profitability. In partnership with the Store Manager, you will foster a customer-first selling culture, develop staff, and ensure adherence to brand values and store standards.

You will oversee operations across Customer Experience, Freight Flow, and Merchandising as needed, with a focus on coaching, training, and performance management to deliver outstanding results.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and coaching skills with ability to give in-the-moment feedback.
• Ability to de-escalate situations and plan/prioritize tasks for daily operations.
• 2+ years of leadership in a fast-paced specialty retail environment preferred.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays per business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performance team in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Drive a customer-first selling culture and brand values.
• Manage daily tasks, inventory, and safety policies.
• Recruit, train, and retain staff aligned with company values.
• Utilize tools and training to ensure consistent execution of key functions.
