Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running daily drive-in operations. You will help train staff, ensure food quality and safety, and maintain a clean, efficient restaurant while delivering a positive guest experience.

The role requires leadership, reliable communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks during irregular hours, including nights and weekends. You will also contribute to inventory control and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in restaurant management or retail operations.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
Proficient in basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
Directs and assigns staff to meet service standards.
Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices.
Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
Monitors staffing levels, inventories and food cost control.
Completes weekly inventory as needed.
Assists in maintaining files, records and documentation.
Reinforces a customer service mindset and guest focus.
Responds to guest requests and resolves complaints.
