Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee daily gym operations and ensure a high-quality, Judgement Free Zone experience for members and guests. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) and may require evenings, weekends and holidays to support business needs.

Responsibilities include leading staff, achieving sales goals, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, front desk supervision, and coordinating with the Club Manager. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others and commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals and contribute to club targets.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for members, guests and staff.
• Provide backup support to Club Manager and supervise staff.
• Oversee front desk activities including member check-in and tours.
• Handle member requests and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
• Order supplies within club budget and track statistics/reports.
