World Market in the United States is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a high-performance team and drive sales while upholding our values, brand, and operational standards.

You will partner with the Store Manager to mentor staff, deliver exceptional customer experiences, manage daily tasks, and ensure loss prevention and inventory controls. The role requires flexibility, including nights and weekends, and physical ability to stand and lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Model and lead a customer-first selling culture by driving engagement, customer loyalty initiatives, visual standards, and brand values.
• Analyze business trends utilizing reporting to problem-solve business opportunities and take appropriate action.
• Consistently exemplify, maintain, and foster World Market's culture and values.
• Plan for and execute daily business tasks and duties in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performance, customer-focused team through training, recognition, and performance management.
• Utilize tools and training resources to educate and validate team execution of key functions.
• Validate and maintain Loss Prevention policies and inventory management initiatives.
• Support and maintain a safe work environment through ongoing safety training and accountability.
