Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the restaurant's General Manager in day-to-day drive-in operations. You will train and supervise Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops, ensure adherence to policies, and help maintain a clean, safe and efficient guest experience.

The role requires flexibility with hours, weekends and holidays, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supervising staff in a fast‑food or retail setting.
• Ability to train and coach team members and ensure good guest service.
• Strong communication and basic math/computer skills.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team/Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns staff to ensure all aspects of food service meet standards.
• Adheres to policies in the employee handbook and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing, inventory, and food cost controls; completes weekly inventory.
