Job summary

Dairy Queen is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running a high-volume restaurant. You will oversee daily operations, manage inventory, labor and customer service, and ensure adherence to safety standards.

You will lead shift teams, train staff, and implement strategies to improve sales and guest satisfaction while maintaining Profit & Loss awareness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of high-volume restaurant leadership experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven track record of effectively managing COGS and labor.
• Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices.
• Must be ServSafe certifiable.

Responsibilities

• Manage entire operation of restaurant during scheduled shifts, ensuring quality, service and atmosphere.
• Assist in inventory control, ordering, cash control and budgeting.
• Lead and train shift leads and crew; schedule staffing per daypart and seasonality.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed and trained to staff.
