Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations, training team members, and upholding food quality, safety, and service standards. This role requires flexibility to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills to lead a diverse crew and ensure guest satisfaction.

The successful candidate will help manage staffing, inventory, and administrative duties while maintaining SONIC's fun,

Qualifications

• Minimum six months to one year of restaurant management experience (QSR) or equivalent retail management.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication, math, reading, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet standards
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties
• Monitors staffing, inventory, and food cost; completes weekly inventory
• Assists in administrative duties including maintaining files and records
• Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures staff focus on serving guests
• Responds to guest requests and assists in resolving complaints.
