Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations, training staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction through quality food, clean facilities, and efficient service. You’ll supervise Team Members, drive performance, manage scheduling, and uphold policies while delivering a fun, fast-paced dining experience that aligns with SONIC’s brand.

This role requires flexibility with hours, including nights and weekends, and prior restaurant management experience

Qualifications

• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• General knowledge of the restaurant industry or retail operations.
• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience or one year entry level retail management.
• Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and multitask; maintain autonomy when needed.
• Adherence to appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns staff to meet food service standards.
• Monitors employee handbook policies and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Adjusts staffing, inventory and food cost controls.
• Completes weekly inventory as needed.
• Maintains files, records and required documentation.
• Reinforces customer service focus and guest satisfaction.
• Responds to guest requests and assists in resolving complaints.
