Job summary

Planet Fitness is looking for an Assistant Manager to oversee gym operations and ensure a welcoming, judgment-free experience while driving club profitability.

The role requires strong customer service, staff leadership, and administrative skills. You will help recruit, train, and supervise a team, handle front desk tasks, and maintain a clean, safe facility. Full-time schedule with potential off-hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff of Members Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, guests and staff and ensure superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with Staff Management and back-up support to Club Manager; schedule and supervise staff.
• Oversee front desk activities: check members in, answer phones, sign ups and tours.
• Facilitate member requests, issues and questions; oversee cleanliness and maintenance.
• Assist in ordering supplies and tracking statistics/reports.
• Backup support for any employee absent.
