Job summary

SONIC Drive-In seeks an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager and supervise drive-in operations. You will train and supervise Team Members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops, ensure quality food and safety, and handle opening/closing duties as needed.

Ideal candidates have restaurant management experience, flexibility for irregular hours, and strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to lead a busy team and deliver a great guest experience.

Qualifications

• Six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one-year entry-level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• General knowledge of the restaurant industry or retail operations.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors, and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns employees to ensure all food service meets standards.
• Adheres to policies in the employee handbook and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing, inventory, and food cost; adjusts as needed.
• Completes weekly inventory as needed.
• Maintains records and documentation for administrative duties.
• Reinforces customer service mindset and ensures guest satisfaction.
