Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running daily drive-in operations. You will train and mentor team members, oversee staff scheduling, inventory and cost controls, and ensure food safety and quality in a clean, safe environment.

In this role you will lead shifts, communicate with guests and manage operations to deliver consistent service. Must be able to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Restaurant management experience in QSR or retail
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights and holidays
• Basic math, reading and computer skills
• Follow directions and work autonomously when needed

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control
• Completes weekly inventory as needed
• Maintains files, records and required documentation
• Reinforces customer service mentality and guest satisfaction
• Responds to guest requests and resolves complaints with supervisor help
