Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations. You will train and coach team members, supervise carhops, and ensure food quality, safety and efficiency.

The role requires directing staff, handling opening/closing duties, managing staffing and inventory, and upholding Sonic’s service standards to deliver a great guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Willingness to follow policies and maintain appearance standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
• Train and support Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign staff to meet service standards.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing, inventory, and food cost; complete weekly inventory.
• Maintain records and documentation; reinforce customer service focus.
• Respond to guest requests and help resolve complaints.
