Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running a fast‑paced drive‑in restaurant. You’ll train and supervise Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops, ensure quality food, clean facilities, and a top‑notch guest experience.

The role requires flexible hours, strong communication, basic math and computer skills, and restaurant management experience. You’ll help with staffing, inventory, and daily operations while upholding SONIC standards.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Experience supervising restaurant staff or retail teams.
• Excellent customer service and guest interaction skills.
• Good communication and basic math, reading, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, monitor and coach Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign staff to meet service standards across all areas.
• Ensure compliance with employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing, inventory and food cost controls; complete weekly inventory.
