Job summary

Valiant Residential, LLC in The Woodlands, TX is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and help keep the property safe and well-maintained. You will collaborate with the leasing team to maximize renewals and leasing opportunities while ensuring safety first and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or related trade experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Strong English communication; Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid drivers license with clean record and auto insurance.
• Willingness to travel to other locations and work some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Manage the system for handling resident service requests and on-call rotation.
• Assist in safety/compliance with ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA.
• Distribute flyers and materials.
• Keep safety materials current and inspect for unsafe conditions.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and make-ready status.
• Schedule and perform minor routine maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances and related systems.
• Handle on-call duties and standby emergencies.
• Assist in preparing the property for inspections.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management.
