Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to assist the maintenance supervisor and uphold property standards. The role involves handling service requests, coordinating with leasing teams to maximize renewals, and prioritizing safety in all tasks.

You will perform routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and building systems, while keeping accurate records and supporting on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours or as directed.
• Assist in on-call rotation and standby emergency schedules.
• Ensure safety, ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA compliance and proper documentation.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and make-ready status of vacant apartments.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and building systems.
