Job summary

The Tipton Group, Inc. is seeking an assistant maintenance technician to manage the daily upkeep of our apartment community in Mansfield, TX.

You will help keep residents satisfied by handling routine maintenance and upkeep across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks. You must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies, perform grounds work, and demonstrate basicHVAC/plumbing knowledge while maintaining a professional demeanor with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of maintenance experience.
• Provide or use of own tools.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Being on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies.
• Completing grounds work such as trash pick-up and light landscaping.
• Assisting with maintenance tasks: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative.

What do we need you to do?

Maintain the overall maintenance and appearance of the apartment complex for current and prospective residents.

The Job:

Our assistant maintenance technicians are an integral part of keeping our residents satisfied and are responsible for day-to-day maintenance operations and general upkeep of the community. Specific responsibilities include:

• Being on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies
• Completing grounds work such as: trash pick-up and light landscaping
• Assisting with various types of maintenance: Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative

The Details:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Have at least two years of experience
• Provide/use of own tools
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors and maintenance staff
• Possess basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
