Job summary

The Tipton Group is looking for an Assistant Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve a 240-unit apartment community. You will perform day-to-day upkeep, handle on-call emergencies, and support electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting tasks to keep residents satisfied.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• At least two years of experience in maintenance or related fields.
• Provide/use of own tools.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents and staff.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies.
• Perform grounds work including trash pickup and light landscaping.
• Assist with maintenance in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative tasks.

What do we need you to do?

Maintain the overall maintenance and appearance of a 240-unit apartment community for current and prospective residents.

The Job:

Our assistant maintenance technicians are an integral part of keeping our residents satisfied and are responsible for day-to-day maintenance operations and general upkeep of the community. Specific responsibilities include:

• Being on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies
• Completing grounds work such as: trash pick-up and light landscaping
• Assisting with various types of maintenance: Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative

The Details:

Our Assistant Maintenance Technicians should meet the following criteria:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Have at least two years of experience
• Provide/use of own tools
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors and maintenance staff
• Possess basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
