Job summary

The Tipton Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician to keep our apartment community clean, safe, and welcoming for current and prospective residents. You will perform day-to-day maintenance and assist with various trades to maintain a high standard of living.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of maintenance experience, and own basic tools. HVAC, plumbing and electrical knowledge is a plus; must be dependable and team-oriented.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of maintenance experience.
• Own tools and maintain professional demeanor with residents.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Being on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies.
• Completing grounds work such as trash pick-up and light landscaping.
• Assisting with maintenance inElectrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative work.

What do we need you to do?

Maintain the overall maintenance and appearance of the apartment complex for current and prospective residents.

The Job:

Our assistant maintenance technicians are an integral part of keeping our residents satisfied and are responsible for day-to-day maintenance operations and general upkeep of the community. Specific responsibilities include:

• Being on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies
• Completing grounds work such as: trash pick-up and light landscaping
• Assisting with various types of maintenance: Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative

The Details:

Our Assistant Maintenance Technicians should meet the following criteria:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Have at least two years of experience
• Provide/use of own tools
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors and maintenance staff
• Possess basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
