Job summary

The Tipton Group is hiring an Assistant Maintenance Technician in Dallas, TX. You will help maintain and improve the apartment community, ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents.

You will handle on-call emergencies and assist with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative maintenance, while working in a team-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least three years of maintenance experience.
• Provide and use own tools.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Professional and courteous with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies.
• Conduct grounds work and light landscaping.
• Assist with electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting tasks.
• Support preventative maintenance of the community.

What do we need you to do?

Maintain the overall maintenance and appearance of the apartment complex for current and prospective residents.

The Job:

Our assistant maintenance technicians are an integral part of keeping our residents satisfied and are responsible for day-to-day maintenance operations and general upkeep of the community. Specific responsibilities include:

• Being on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies
• Completing grounds work such as: trash pick-up and light landscaping
• Assisting with various types of maintenance: Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative

The Details:

Our Assistant Maintenance Technicians should meet the following criteria:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Have at least three years of experience
• Provide/use of own tools
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors and maintenance staff
• Possess basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
