Job summary

The Tipton Group is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician in Austin to maintain and improve apartment communities. You will manage day-to-day maintenance, respond to emergencies, and work with residents and staff to keep the property well kept.

This role requires at least four years of experience, HVAC certification, high school diploma, and the ability to work on-call. You should bring your own tools and be prepared for a team-driven environment that values reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least four years of maintenance experience and HVAC certification.
• Provide/use of own tools.
• Must maintain professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors and maintenance staff.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Available for on-call property emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies.
• Perform grounds work including trash pickup and light landscaping.
• Assist with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative maintenance tasks.

What do we need you to do?

Maintain the overall maintenance and appearance of the apartment complex for current and prospective residents.

The Job:

Our lead maintenance technicians are an integral part of keeping our residents satisfied and are responsible for day-to-day maintenance operations and general upkeep of the community. Specific responsibilities include:

• Being on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies
• Completing grounds work such as: trash pick-up and light landscaping
• Assisting with various types of maintenance: Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative

The Details:

Our Lead Maintenance Technicians should meet the following criteria:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Have at least four years of experience and HVAC certification
