Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations and physical upkeep of the property, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. You will manage work orders, supervise the maintenance team, and coordinate safety and risk management across the site.

The role emphasizes high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, engaging with residents professionally, and mentoring staff in a fast-growing property management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum two years of experience in the property management industry or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
• Carry out carpentry tasks such as wallboard repair, cabinet replacement, and door/lock repair.
• Conduct proactive preventative maintenance including painting, lighting, and equipment checks.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to standards.
• Daily inspections to maintain safety, cleanliness and identify maintenance needs.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, fires, floods) as needed.
• Communicate maintenance issues to supervisor and property manager promptly.
