Job summary

Valiant Residential, LLC invites applicants for an Assistant Maintenance role at our Fort Worth properties. You’ll support the maintenance supervisor, help with system repairs, and ensure safety adherence across the site.

Responsibilities include handling resident requests within 24 hours, maintaining records, and assisting with inspections. A HS diploma, EPA certification, and valid driver’s license are required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification (recovery, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written English communication; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests within 24 hours when possible.
• Schedule and manage the system for handling service requests and on-call rotation.
• Assist in maintaining safety, policies, and legal compliance (ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA).
• Assist with distribution of flyers and materials.
• Maintain records for preventive maintenance and make-ready status of vacants.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and inspect tools.
• Diagnose and repair routine electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems.
• Assist in preparing the property for inspections and standby on-call duties.
