Job summary

Bozzuto is seeking an Assistant Building Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance teams across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs for our Alexandria-area properties. The role requires a track record of hands-on management, a safety-first mindset and strong communication with residents and staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in trades or facilities, HVAC/EPA/NAPE certifications, and knowledge of OSHA and MSDS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in trades, facilities or residential building maintenance.
• HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and model Bozzuto's core values and culture.
• Provide timely follow-ups and complete apartment service tickets.
• Resolve maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Manage make-ready and turnover processes to enable leasing and move-ins.
• Preserve property value through preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure building safety, cleanliness, and grounds upkeep; snow removal.
• Maintain peak efficiency of property components.
• Comply with building codes, county and safety standards; operate safely.
• Participate in weekend work and emergency on-call rotation.
