Job summary

Bozzuto in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliances, and to prepare vacant apartments for move-in. The role emphasizes resident care and strong communication.

Qualifications include on-call availability, reliability, and basic computer skills. After 12 months, eligible for EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification fully paid by Bozzuto.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or education in the trades.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation.
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs frequently and 10–20 lbs constantly.
• Reliable transportation to commute and respond to on-call emergencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in through turnover repairs and improvements.
• Maintain building safety and cleanliness, including snow removal and grounds upkeep.
• Provide residents with outstanding customer service.
• Show care and concern for residents through service ticket resolution and preventative maintenance.
• Work weekends or evenings and be on call for after-hours emergencies.
