Job summary

CWS is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director to blend hands-on maintenance with leadership. You will lead our maintenance team, prepare make-ready apartments, and handle service requests while prioritizing safety and customer service for residents.

The role requires EPA/HVAC certifications and at least 1–2 years in apartment maintenance or related trades, with a valid driver’s license and tools. You will engage with residents, vendors, and leadership to uphold CWS standards.

Qualifications

• EPA, HVAC I & II, CPO and local certifications required
• Minimum 1–2 years full-time apartment maintenance experience or related trade
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required
• Own a basic set of hand tools required

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team and coordinate tasks
• Prepare make-ready apartments
• Complete service requests in a timely manner
• Maintain inventory and organize shop
• Perform common area maintenance
• Participate in preventative maintenance program
• Support resident satisfaction initiatives
• Communicate with residents, vendors, investors and leadership
• Participate in Risk Management and Safety Programs
