Job summary

Silverchain is seeking an experienced Assistant in Nursing to join our community care team on a permanent part-time basis. You will support clients living independently at home with personal care, mobility and daily tasks, delivering high-quality care in a respectful, patient-focused manner.

The role offers a part-time schedule (45.6 hours per fortnight), extensive orientation and on-the-job training, and access to salary packaging options, health and wellbeing resources, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care; Individual Support, or equivalent.
• Experience delivering moderate and complex care, preferably within the community.
• Fantastic interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
• Effective English literacy skills.
• National Police Clearance (on commencement and updated every three years per the Aged Care Act 1997).
• Current motor vehicle driver's licence (with no restrictions).
• Current Basic First Aid Certificate is desirable, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Skin care, toileting, general hygiene, grooming, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, and associated personal care activities.
• Support may also be required with general housekeeping, social support, transport.
• Upskilling Virtual care potential may include Observations, Urinalysis, First aid and Medication support.
