Job summary

BlueCare is offering a Personal Carer Traineeship in Mackay and surrounding areas. Earn an income while you complete a Certificate III in Individual Support with government funding covering the cost.

As a Personal Carer Trainee you’ll visit clients at home, support daily living activities, follow care plans and help with community activities. This permanent part-time role includes $32.69 per hour, Super, salary packaging, travel reimbursement and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) – Essential.
• Roadworthy & insured vehicle to use for work – Essential.
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.
• Confidence to satisfy probity checks required by legislation.

Responsibilities

• Travel to clients for scheduled visits and provide in-home personal care.
• Assist with daily living activities (showering, hygiene, meals, housekeeping, laundry).
• Follow individualised Care Plans.
• Support client participation in community-based activities and appointments.

• Employment Status: Permanent Part Time
• Availability - Mon- Fri, 8am - 5pm (Min 30hrs per week)
• Location: Mackay & Surrounding Areas
• Remuneration: $32.69 p/hr + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) + Employee discounts

About The Role

As a Personal Carer Trainee, you'll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.
