Job summary

VMCH is seeking part-time Personal Care Assistants to bring joy to residents’ days. You’ll work as part of a friendly team, following Care Plans and person-centred care principles to support residents in line with their needs and preferences.

Shifts are listed with two patterns; indicate your preference when applying. The role requires relevant aged care qualifications, prior facility experience, and NDIS Worker Screening.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing Specialisation), or equivalent and/or Certificate IV in Aged Care, Certificate IV in Ageing Support.
• Previous experience working in an aged care facility.
• Ability to build effective relationships and work within a team.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Ability to work the listed days and shifts in either shift pattern.

About The Role

• Providing support and care according to the Care Plan and residents preferences and strengths
• Applying person-centred care approaches to all interactions with residents
• Considering the residents individual needs, stage of life, development and strengths when engaging in support activities

About You

You are an enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter who is eager to develop a career in aged care. To be considered for these roles, you will need:

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing Specialisation), or equivalent and/or Certificate IV in Aged Care, Certificate IV in Ageing Support
• Previous experience working in an aged care facility
• Ability to build effective relationships and work within a team
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Ability to work the below days and shifts in either shift pattern 1 or shift pattern 2
