Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Personal Carer at the Mackay Homefield Aged Care Facility. This permanent part-time role involves providing daily living assistance to clients, ensuring their independence and improving their quality of life. Responsibilities include supporting clients with hygiene, meals, and social activities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with community-based recreational and social activities.

• Employment Status: Permanent Part Time (65 hours per fortnight - mix of AM and PM shifts)
• Location: Mackay Homefield Aged Care Facility
• Remuneration: $36.32 p/hr + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) + Employee discounts

About The Role

Personal Carer you'll provide care to your clients living in our residential home, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life through activities that include:

• Daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, help at meal times and general mobility
• Providing care in accordance with their individualized Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities

Role Requirements

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
