Job summary

Healthcare Staffing Professionals is seeking an Assistant Health Analyst to support data systems and inform program strategies within the Department of Public Health. The role is remote, but candidates must reside in the LA County area, with immediate start and funding through 07/31/2027.

Qualifications

• Three years of staff experience analyzing and making recommendations, or one year of responsible administrative or staff experience assisting in research and analysis of resources and program operations.
• A valid California Class C Driver License or ability to use alternative transportation for job-related functions.

Job description

Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Assistant Health Analyst. The Assistant Health Analyst (AHA) in the Disease Control Informatics Branch will assist in research and analysis, and make recommendations regarding the use and deployment of resources and the implementation and refinement of operations and programs within the Department of Public Health.

The positions will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and are initially funded through 7/31/2027, with the good chance of extension.

Pay Rate: $42.08/hr working 40 hours a week

Location: Full Time - Remote *candidate must be located within the LA County area

Job Duties:

• Plans, coordinates, and manages assigned projects related to data systems, information integration, and departmental initiatives, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines.
• Analyzes, develops, and maintains technical documentation, training materials, and resources to support data systems and operational processes.
• Facilitates meetings, workgroups, and team discussions to support project implementation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Assists in the evaluation and alignment of data systems, standards, and processes to improve data quality, consistency, and usability across programs.
• Provides analytical and administrative support for data-related initiatives, including tracking progress, identifying issues, and recommending solutions.
• Communicates with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities, share information, and support project objectives.

Requirements:

• Three years of experience in a staff capacity analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization, program, procedure, budget, or personnel -OR One year of responsible administrative or staff experience assisting in research and analysis of, and making recommendations regarding the use and deployment of resources and the implementation and refinement of operations and programs; and
• A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
