Job summary

Community First Credit Union in De Pere, WI is seeking an Assistant Head Teller to support the Head Teller, troubleshoot questions, and guide the Teller line while delivering a WOW experience to our members.

You will balance cash, handle deposits and payments, supervise cash handling, train tellers, and ensure compliance with policy. The role offers growth opportunities within a team‑oriented environment and branch hours Mon–Fri 7am–6pm, Sat 8am–12pm.

Qualifications

• Three years’ relevant experience; prior teller and supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational ability.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and web-based software.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding member service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional WOW service to internal and external members.
• Handle typical teller duties: cashing checks, accepting payments, and placing holds per policy.
• Identify non-negotiable and fraudulent checks to avoid losses.
• Maintain adequate cash supply and avoid excess cash in the branch.
• Balance and close cash drawer daily; assist others with balancing and postings.
• Balance ATM/CDM/recycler, ledgers, and vault daily.
• Train tellers and monitor regulatory and policy changes.
