Planet Fitness in Warwick, RI is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee gym operations and deliver a standout Judgement Free Zone experience while driving club profitability. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) and may involve evenings, weekends, and holidays to support business needs.

Responsibilities include achieving sales targets, recruiting and developing staff, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, supervising scheduling, and maintaining facility standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Confident problem-solver.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests.
• Assist with staff management and provide backup support to Club Manager.
• Assist in scheduling and supervising staff.
• Member service oversight – Ensuring staff is providing a superior customer experience.
• Assist in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.
• Oversee front desk activities: answering phones, checking in members, tours.
• Facilitate member requests and questions; oversee cleanliness and supplies.
• Backup support for any employee absence.
