Job summary

Planet Fitness in the United States is seeking an Assistant Manager to support gym operations and deliver a best-in-class, Judgement Free Zone experience. You will help recruit and develop a high-performing team, supervise front desk activities, and ensure the club runs smoothly while driving sales and member satisfaction.

The role requires a full-time schedule, flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a commitment to excellent service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Passion for helping others and commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee gym operations to ensure a safe, welcoming, and financially successful club.
• Work a full-time schedule (40 hours/week) including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing staff (Member Service Representatives, Trainers, Custodians).
• Ensure staff delivers exceptional customer service and maintains a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests.
• Schedule and supervise staff; provide backup to Club Manager as needed.
• Respond to member requests and resolve issues with diplomacy and professionalism.
• Assist with front desk duties: check-ins, tours, inquiries, and member sign-ups.
• Monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and supplies within budget constraints.
