Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee gym operations and deliver a Judgement Free member experience while driving club performance. This full-time role requires a 40-hour week and may include evenings, weekends and travel to support business needs.

You will lead staff, recruit and train, ensure front desk excellence, oversee cleanliness, and monitor metrics. The role rewards with incentives and benefits as part of Core Development and Management-Planet Fitness.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing gym operations and member experience.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and customer service standards.
• Schedule and supervise staff.
• Handle front desk activities and member sign-ins.
• Oversee cleanliness and facility maintenance.
• Track statistics and reports (weekly, monthly, yearly).
• Provide backup support for the Club Manager.
• Communicate effectively and build relationships.
