Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee gym operations and ensure a welcoming Judgement Free Zone for members. You will drive sales, recruit and develop staff, and maintain a pristine facility while delivering exceptional service.

Daily duties include front desk supervision, member check-ins, tours for prospects, staff scheduling, and resolving member or staff issues. This full-time role requires flexibility for weekends and holidays in Sammamish, WA.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Assist in scheduling and supervising staff.
• Member service oversight - Ensuring staff is providing a superior customer experience at all times.
• Assist in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.
• Front desk activities: answer phones, check members in, sign-up new members, give tours.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of facility and oversee supplies budget.
• Track statistics and reports on a regular basis.
