Job summary

HMSHost is seeking an Assistant General Manager at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport location. The AGM will support branch management in executing complex QSR or Casual Dine operations and ensure the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operating to high standards.

The role requires at least 6 years in food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service, plus 4 years of supervisory experience in casual dining or production kitchens.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 6 years of food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum 4 years of supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents; communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Executes opening, daily, and closing procedures per company policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within defined unit(s).
• Participates in hiring, promotions, and staffing decisions to present HMSHost as an employer of choice.
• Reads financial and operational data to monitor progress toward goals and assigns staff accordingly.
• Manages shifts and ensures proper coverage and adherence to AB policies.
• Ensures cleanliness, stocking, and visual appeal of display areas and that equipment is in good order.
• Operates cash register and handles transactions per cash policies and security rules.
• Ensures wellness and safety procedures and reports safety concerns to management.
