Applegreen USA Welcome Centers is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager oversee daily operations at our NJ locations. You will lead a team, coach shifts, and ensure excellent guest service and smooth store performance.

You will drive objectives, manage staff, and uphold brand standards while controlling costs and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for travelers.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations
• Flexible and open work schedule
• Basic food safety understanding and practice

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives clearly.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shifting supervisors.
• Step in and perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain positive morale, especially during challenging times.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues promptly and ensure policies and brand standards are followed.
• Maintain brand standards, landlord tolerances, and labor relations.
• Ensure the restaurant presents a clean, inviting look and proper cash handling.
