Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help run day-to-day operations at our NJ locations. You will supervise staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and uphold brand standards while learning essential management skills.

In this entry-level management role, you’ll coach shifts, manage performance, handle customer issues, and maintain inventory accuracy. The position offers flexible schedules, benefits, and opportunities for growth within a nationwide

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• Basic food safety understanding and practice
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach shifts supervisors, and focus on store-level operation performance.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong Leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain awareness of brand standards and procedures to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensure the restaurant looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and reported daily per directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues, maintaining positive relationships.
• Ensure inventory data accuracy via spot counts.
