Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to assist the GM in daily operations at our New Jersey locations. You will help lead a team, oversee service quality, inventory, and cash handling while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role emphasizes leadership, operational excellence, and adherence to brand standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment with opportunities for growth and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day operations, assign work, coach shifts supervisors and monitor store performance.
• Capable of performing duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain positive morale during challenging times.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues promptly and effectively.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain awareness and enforcement of brand standards and labor relations.
• Keep restaurant clean, inviting, and aligned with brand standards.
• Oversee cash management and daily reporting as directed by the company.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to foster long-term relationships.
• Perform spot inventory checks to ensure data accuracy.
