CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Crystal Lake, IL to lead daily restaurant operations alongside the General Manager and Area Leader. You will help manage schedules, labor, inventory, and financial metrics while upholding our hospitality standards.

You will develop hourly Team Members, drive guest satisfaction, and implement improvements. The role demands supervisory experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Proven leadership capabilities and ability to manage teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Adaptability and problem-solving to improve restaurant performance.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to manage budgets and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Support the General Manager with scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues and conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding high service standards and addressing customer concerns.
• Implement strategies to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Lead by example in customer service and encourage the team to follow suit.
• Assist with managing financial aspects including tracking sales, cash handling, and budget adherence.
• Assist with preparing financial reports, analyze performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist with ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and cash handling procedures.
• Assist with overseeing food safety practices and training on proper procedures.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as inventory management and maintaining records.
• Support the General Manager in report preparation and action plan implementation.
• Participate in special projects to drive restaurant success.
